Instruction

The purpose of the Supervisor of Instruction is to provide leadership through supervising, observing, and evaluating the Instructional program for students with exceptionalities from preschool to graduation. Supervision of Instructional Staff and programs is provided in order to implement and effective instructional program to meet the needs of a student according to the Individualized Education Program.Coordination of specific training needs are determined and provided to Instructional Staff, school based administrators and teachers in order to meet state and federal guidelines in providing a Free and Appropriate Education (FAPE) to students with exceptionalities.Participation with various community groups, organizations, and agencies that are concerned with exceptional children is necessary for public understanding.A prioritized management system is maintained for accomplishing administrative and curricular tasks.In addition, leadership is provided to all program partners within the Early Childhood Community Network, Caddo Smart Start, which includes public school PreK, Early Childhood Special Education, Head Start, Preschool Expansion Grant and Type III Child Care Centers that accept the Child Care Assistance Program.
